Winding up for World Bellydance Day

It’s been a busy Spring here with the Lovely Dozen!

We’ve had performances and events galore, but we’re gearing up now for our largest annual event: World Bellydance Day!  Here’s what’s in store as we prepare for this international day of dance and culture:

A Hafla (party) with Lauren Boldt of Bellydance Evolution, food and fellowship with all those registered to take part in the weekend’s workshops! Learn more and register at www.lovelybellydanceworkshops.webs.com

Workshops with Lauren on hot topics like Bellydance for Body Conditioning and Drum Solos, hosted by the Altru Family YMCA

Vending from the fabulous Sara Cura, World Tree Dance, and Briste Ean of the Lovely Dozen!

SHIMMYMOB! The international fundraiser for Domestic Violence Awareness returns for its second year to Grand Forks, this year’s team performing at NOON SHARP in the rotunda of the Grand Cities Mall. Come on out and show your support for this event in person at the mall, or at the Stage Show that night, or by donating to our charity (the Community Violence Intervention Center) at gofundme.com (Search for Shimmymob Grand Forks Team).

A Stage Show featuring the Lovely Dozen, Lauren Boldt, and other special guests from across the Midwest, at the UND Burtness Theatre, 7:30pm on Saturday, May 10th.  50% of proceeds from the show will be going towards our Shimmymob Charity! Tickets $10 at the door

So as you can see, we’ve got lots to be excited for – stay tuned to Facebook and our main page for event details as they unfold – we can’t wait to share another World Bellydance Day with our community!
