Earlybird Registrations for Ranya Renee are pouring in for the the final days before it closes March 1st! Our workshops with the Shimmy Queen of New York are really gonna be the talk of the town – click HERE to learn more (and to register yourself!)
You may also have noticed the Lovely Dozen have currently put the Monday Body Conditioning class on hiatus. This is part of our “take it easy” vibe this winter – but stay tuned for its return/restructuring when the time is right!
Also note that Thursday’s class has moved up to 5:30 instead of 6:30. Stay tuned to the Calendar page for future updates on this or any other classes!
Next weekend the Lovely Dozen will be hitting the road for the first time in several months to enjoy a series of workshops with our dear Gaia Sophia in Pine River. That’ll be the start of us coming back out into the open more regularly – hopefully the sun will join us and come out to play more too!
Been a while since we posted here, huh? January was a blur with activity and excitement at Lovely Dozen Studios: New Year New You was a fabulous success, as was our very first Backstage Project with the Empire Arts Center. Thanks to all who came and supported us at those events!
February is already proving to be much more quiet and relaxed, and we like it that way – not too much beyond classes going on this month, but registration for Ranya Renee in May has kicked off (which you can learn more about on our Events page), and the troupe is gearing up for a few road trips in March and April that’ll be sure to be share worthy! But until then, stay warm out there! Come join us for a class if you’re around the studio, or stay tuned to our Facebook page for us to perk up with more events in the months to come!
It’s hard to believe it’s already a new year, but here we are in 2015! We’ve had lots go down already and more to come that we can’t wait to share with you all!
Our first day of New Year New You was a tremendous success – 6 wonderful ladies joined us to discuss body image and ways in which women hold and process their power internally. The next step will be take all that power we cultivated and exercise the tools to unleash it outside ourselves – so look out world, hear us roar!
Outside the winter weather has been roaring as well. Unfortunately its latest roar has meant we weren’t able to host the workshops with Amy Danielson we had planned for this weekend (the 10th), but we still managed to hold our Hafla in the new building, just down the hall with our friends at Shanti Ma’a! Food, fellowship, and shimmies were had, but now we invite you to join us for a grand online unveiling: as of Sunday, January 11th: Registration for Ranya Renee is LIVE! You can find more information about these impending Spring workshops HERE, but trust us – you’ll wanna be there for it!
If you’re thinking to yourself, “man I can’t wait until MAY to see the Lovely Dozen perform!” you’re in luck! We’ll be performing this January 24th at the Empire Arts Center’s Backstage Project, 8pm. Cash bar by Rhombus Guys, coffee by Urban Stampede, and LIVE music and dance by your resident rak stars themselves! Tickets just $5 at the door.
There’s more awesomeness where that came from, but we’ll leave it at that for now – 2015 is well underway and we’re beyond excited for all that’s in store! See you around!!
